Banned. Dec 1, 2009. #4. For 7th generation Civics, there is a fuse under the hood that protects the circuit for the data link connector (DLC). Power for the scan tool is supplied through this fuse. If the fuse is blown, the scan tool won't get power and therefore won't communicate with the ECU. Look for a fuse that includes DLC its description.
The 1.6 Turbo and 1.7 CDTi were mated to the M32 gearbox (including the Corsa VXR). The 1.3 CDTi, when mated to a 6-speed transmission, has the M20 gearbox, which suffers from the same problems as the M32. The 5-speed 1.3 CDTi has the F17 gearbox, which is fine.
